Your password in Slingbox Setup Assistant

When you're using the Slingbox Setup Assistant that's built into SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows, it may look kinda weird when you're typing your password! The letter or number shows up for a brief instant, but then it's almost immediately replaced by a bullet (•). Is this some kind of bug?

Nope! It's actually a cool new security feature. Now you see what you are typing! (But no one else does, unless they're really really trying... and you'd be able to tell.)

Think of it! No more wondering or fretting if you typed that "s" as a "d" ... or "s" ... or "x". Now you can see what you're doing (at least for a moment) and if you hit the wrong key, you can fix it ... right away.

One last thing: if you come back to the password page some time in the future, you may find that the bullets you see don't match the actual number of characters in your password. Again, not a problem. It's another cool security feature. It prevents others from guessing your password by seeing how many characters it contains.
