Installing the plug-in
Installing the browser plug-in for Watch on Slingbox.com is easy!

Once you've determined that the browser you're using will work, just click Watch from the Slingbox.com home page to get started.
WINDOWS
For Internet Explorer
- When you see a yellow bar at the top of your screen, click it, and select Install ActiveX Control.
- When asked if you want to install the software from Sling Media, click Install.
For Firefox
- When you see a yellow bar at the top of your screen, click Allow on the right end of the yellow bar.
- When the Software Installation window opens, click Install Now.
- After the software installs, in the Add-ons box, click Restart Firefox. Allow Firefox to restart, and you're all set.
MAC OS X
For Safari & Firefox
- Go to Watch on Slingbox.com and answer appropriately in any dialog boxes that appear.
- Click Trust in the certificate dialog box if prompted.
- The plug-in Disk Image file (.DMG) will download (the default location is /Users/[username]/Downloads).
- You may have to double-click the DMG file to mount the installer, then double-click the installer package.
- Allow the plug-in installation to complete, relaunch your browser, then connect to your Slingbox via Watch on Slingbox.com.
Important Note For Safari 5.1 and above
- All of the above steps apply, but downloads in Safari 5.1 and above (under Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion") look a little different.
- You'll see a small box indicating the download progress in the upper right corner of the browser window. You'll see a "flying" icon indicating when the download completes.
Removing the plug-in
Removing the plug-in is easy, too. Just follow these directions:
WINDOWS
For Internet Explorer
- Choose Manage Add-ons from the Tools menu, then choose Enable or Disable Add-ons from the submenu.
- Find the WebSlingPlayer add-on in the list. You may have to change the setting in the Show drop-down menu for the WebSlingPlayer add-on to display in the list.
- Click WebSlingPlayer, then click Delete.
- Follow the directions on your screen to complete the removal.
For Firefox
- Launch Firefox and choose Add-ons from the Tools menu.
- Click the WebSlingPlayer Add-on, and click Uninstall.
- Follow the directions on your screen to complete the removal.
MAC OS
For Safari
- Quit Safari.
- Remove the SlingPlayer.plugin from the following location:
/Users/[username]/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/SlingPlayer.plugin- Re-launch Safari.
For Firefox
- Launch Firefox and choose Add-ons from the Tools menu.
- Click the WebSlingPlayer Add-on, and click Uninstall.
