SlingPlayer options: Video
You can use the SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows Video options tab to enable features that take advantage of the advanced video capability on your computer.
Note: These options are for computers running Microsoft Windows XP (or later) only. Your computer's documentation is the best source of information on your computer's video features, and adjusting video settings to improve video performance.
Check your computer settings first
Check the following requirements to see if your computer supports the advanced video options described below:
Does your computer have DirectX version 9 installed? You can use Windows to perform a search if you're not sure.
Does your computer have the latest drivers installed for its
video card? The vendor that supplied the video card that's in your
computer should have the latest drivers on their website.
Are your computer's video drivers set to an acceleration level that allows VMR use? Here's how you can check:
Right-click your desktop, then choose Properties from the context menu that appears.
Click the Settings tab on the Display Properties screen.
Click Advanced.
Click the Troubleshoot tab to find the hardware acceleration settings. Make sure you have set the acceleration to its highest level.
To use Video Mixing Renderer (VMR) technology, if your PC supports it
Choose SlingPlayer Options from the Settings menu:

Click the Video tab
Select When available use Video Mixing Renderer (VMR) technology
Click OK
If your PC supports it: you can also select Use VMR9 if supported on current monitor.
For more information about VMR features, see your computer's documentation.
About VMR (Video Mixing Renderer) technology
VMR is a video technology that may improve video performance on computers that support it (typically computers running Microsoft® Windows XP or later). SlingPlayer can use VMR only if your computer's video card and drivers support it.
VMR is an enhancement, not a requirement. SlingPlayer delivers excellent video quality with or without it.
To use Video Acceleration Hardware, if your PC supports it
The Video Decoder hardware acceleration is intended to allow otherwise underpowered computers to run SlingPlayer 2.0, primarily netbooks. Only a small handful of computers support hardware acceleration.
To enable the Video Decoder hardware acceleration:
Choose SlingPlayer Options from the Settings menu
Click the Video tab
Select the checkbox under Video Decoder. This option will not be available if your computer does not support it:
