How to find the local (LAN) IP address for your Slingbox
You may need to determine the local (LAN) IP address for your Slingbox for various reasons. It's easy! Here's how.
For example:
- With some versions of SlingPlayer for Mobile Devices, you may need to create a local (home use-only) Slingbox Directory entry for your Slingbox;
- You may need to know which local IP address your Slingbox is using when configuring or maintaining your router;
- You may also find it useful to know which of your router's ports your Slingbox is using.
To find the local IP address that your Slingbox is using, you'll visit the Slingbox.com Support website. For your convenience, there's a link to it on the right side of this page.
