Viewing your Slingbox over the Internet
With remote viewing, you can watch your Slingbox from any place that you can access a high-speed Internet connection.
Have you logged into your Sling Account?
Your Sling Accounts stores your Slingbox information for you, including information to help locate your Slingbox ... no matter where you're watching your TV.
To watch your TV remotely:
- Go to Watch on Slingbox.com. There's a link to the right for your convenience.
- If you're asked to sign into your Sling Account, go ahead and do that.
Don't have a Sling Account? You can get one using the link on the right ... it's free!
- If you see the Slingbox Directory, click to select your Slingbox.
- Enjoy watching your TV! To stop, just close the browser window.
To use SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows to watch your TV remotely:
- Launch SlingPlayer 2.0 for Windows.
- Log into your Sling Account by clicking the blue Log In text in the upper-right corner of the SlingPlayer viewer window. If the blue text says Log Out, then you're already logged in.
- Open the Slingbox Directory to choose the Slingbox that you want to connect to. You can use any of these steps:
- Click
at the bottom of the SlingPlayer window, or
- Click the Sling logo button
or
- Select Slingbox Directory or from the Connect menu, or
- Press Alt-D.
- Select the remote Slingbox you want to watch.
If you don’t see your Slingbox, you may need to add it to your directory. Also, remote viewing should have been enabled during the initial setup. Below you'll find links to help you with those tasks.
