Configuring Safari in Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) to work with Slingbox.com
Safari needs to be set to 32-bit mode to use Watch on Slingbox.com (or Setup on Slingbox.com) on a Mac running Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Here's how to do it.
To set Apple Safari to run in 32-bit mode in Snow Leopard:
- Print these instructions or read through them completely before starting.
- Quit Safari.
- Go into your Mac's Applications folder and find the Safari application.
- Click once to select the Safari icon, then press Command-i to Get Info.
The Get Info window for Safari opens.

- In the Safari Get Info window, you see an option to Open in 32-bit mode. Click this checkbox.
- Close the Safari Get Info window.
- Launch Safari and reload Slingbox.com.
- Click on the Watch tab and follow the instructions to finish setting up SlingPlayer.
Although it is unlikely, making this change may cause some other plug-ins to stop working.
If you do not want to make this change to Safari, you can use Mozilla Firefox browser version 3 or later.
