How to create a Sling Account and Slingbox password for guests

Using these steps will allow a friend or family member to have guest access to your Slingbox, but you will still be its administrator.

Please note: when giving others access to your Slingbox, please be sure to follow the Slingbox Terms of Use! There's a link to the right so you can take a look.

1. Go to the Sling Accounts webpage: accounts.sling.com/accounts (see link to the right).     
   


2. If you are automatically logged in to your existing Sling Account, click logout
   
3. Follow the steps to create a NEW Sling Account for your guest user. Try using the guest's email address as a login, and then create a unique password just for them.
   


4. After creating the new guest Sling Account, click Slingbox Directory, then click Add a Slingbox (see image below).




5. Next, enter your Slingbox ID, Slingbox name and the newly-created guest password. Do not select the option to log in as administrator. Click save.
6. Log out of the guest Sling Account, and log back in to your administrator Sling Account.
7. Go to the Setup on Slingbox.com webpage (see link to the right).
8. Select your Slingbox, then choose Add a guest user.
9. Enter in the unique guest password you created, click Next, and you're done!

Give your friend or family member their guest password and Sling Account info, and they can watch your Slingbox just by logging in with their own Sling Account!
