Paid support for the Slingbox and SlingCatcher hardware provides telephone support for basic setup, installation, assembly, and connectivity outside of the standard complimentary support.
Paid Slingbox and SlingCatcher related software support provides telephone or chat support for installation, launch, or reinstallation (not including data recovery) when your hardware and network configuration meets the minimum system requirements for the software. How much is paid support for my Sling Media product?
If you're currently outside your standard complimentary support period, you have some options. You can either pay for a single support incident or you can purchase an extended service and support agreement for your Slingbox or SlingCatcher. Or, if all you need is the out of warranty replacement of an Remote Control IR Cable, a SlingCatcher remote control, or a power adapter, we have them available for purchase.

Sling Media Extended Care (US only)
Every Sling Media product comes with 90 days complimentary technical support and a 1 year hardware warranty (US) or 2 year hardware warranty (Europe). With Sling Media Extended Care you can extend your service coverage to three years from the original purchase date. If you have a Sling Media Extended Care agreement, you can call or chat our support team as often as you like and get your questions answered. And if you need a hardware repair during that period, we will even expedite the shipping of your replacement Slingbox or SlingCatcher for free.
Technical Support:
We have technical support agents available to help you 12 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are always just a chat or phone call away. Our team of experts are here to provide technical support should you run into any problems and can also answer quick “How To” questions about using our software.
Peace of Mind:
When you buy Sling Media Extended Care for your Slingbox or SlingCatcher you have the peace of mind knowing that should your unit fail in the first three years of ownership, we will send you a replacement unit free of charge.
Comprehensive Coverage:
Buying Sling Media Extended Care for your Slingbox or SlingCatcher not only extends the hardware warranty on that device, but also gives you access to technical support for problems you may run into with any other Sling Media product you are using with that device.
Pay Per Incident Support
If you are looking for help from Sling Media while outside your 90 days of support and either don’t want to buy or your Sling Media product is not eligible for a Sling Media Extended Care agreement, you can buy a single incident of technical support.
The Pay Per Incident (or PPI) covers your access to calling or chatting with a Sling Media support team member about one specific issue. Once the issue is resolved, the case is closed and you would need to purchase another PPI to talk to us again.
This agreement does not provide out of warranty hardware repair should the issue ultimately be caused by a defective Slingbox or SlingCatcher. However, if your Slingbox or SlingCatcher is still under its standard hardware warranty and the issue turns out to be a hardware problem, your PPI will be refunded at the same time as your in-warranty repair is processed.
Please note: If, after purchasing a PPI and troubleshooting, you discover there is a hardware issue with your out-of warranty product (that cannot be resolved via standard troubleshooting) and you choose to pay for an out of warranty repair, the cost of the PPI will be subtracted from the purchase of that out of warranty repair.
Out of Warranty Repair
If you think that your Slingbox or SlingCatcher is in need of repair, or if you require the replacement of a Slingbox or SlingCatcher accessory, please contact our technical support team so that we can determine your eligibility for hardware warranty.
You may be outside of your hardware warranty if:
- Your Slingbox or SlingCatcher is more than a year old and you have not purchased Extended Care (US only) or more than two years old (Europe)
- Your Slingbox or SlingCatcher is more than 3 years old and you have purchased Extended Care (US only)
- The damage to the Slingbox, SlingCatcher or accessory was not caused by a defective part
