What you can connect to your Slingbox PRO
This article explains all of the connections on the back of the Slingbox PRO.
The Slingbox PRO can be used with the following audio and video connections:
- Composite (standard definition)
- S-Video (standard definition)
- Analog coax cable
- Component (high definition, when used with the HD Connect)
You can connect the Slingbox PRO directly to your TV using the passthrough feature. This passes the connection from your AV device, through the Slingbox and then back to your television via an output port. Just make sure that you use the same kind of connections. For example, if you use the composite cables from the AV source, connect them to the composite inputs on your Slingbox. Then connect the composite outputs on the Slingbox to your TV.
Important: The HD Input/Output port is for use with the HD Connect product only. Its physical design is not intended to accommodate an HDMI connection. The HD Connect connects the Slingbox PRO to an HD source, and is available separately from your retailer.
