I'm getting a "SlingCatcher is unable to connect to your home network" error
Having problems connecting to your home network when you're setting up your SlingCatcher?
If this happens to you when you're setting up SlingCatcher for the first time, check the things below. You must be at at home, on a computer on your home network.
- Make sure that SlingCatcher is properly connected to your home network. Double-check the cables and connections.
- Make sure that your SlingCatcher is connected to the Internet and that the connection is working. A working Internet connection is required to download the SlingCatcher Software (also called "firmware").
- If you want SlingCatcher to use a static IP address, you must use DHCP to complete the first time setup. Once you've set up SlingCatcher, you can then switch to a static IP address.
To change the network settings on your SlingCatcher:
a. Go to Settings > Network.
b. Select Use DHCP or Set Static IP.
