Help finding your video source in the Slingbox Setup Assistant
Can't find the video source you have hooked up to your Slingbox in the Slingbox Setup Assistant? Here's some help.
Often times, the most difficult part of setting up your Slingbox is configuring it to control your video source. We have developed a small tool - an online Supported Video Sources widget - that can help guide you through this process.
The widget is to the right of the screen on many Sling Media support web pages. You can search for your video source right there.
How does it work?
All you need to do is select your Slingbox, and then type the make and/or model of the video source you have hooked up to that Slingbox. Click the right-arrow to start the search.

What happens when I find my video source?
If you find your video source listed in the results, just select it and click the Setup Instructions button.
This will open a window that has specific instructions for how use the Slingbox Setup Assistant to configure your Slingbox to control that video source.
What happens if I can't find my device?
If you don't find it, you should probably search again. Maybe you misspelled it. Heck, maybe we misspelled it. Best to try searching a couple of times with different combinations.
How come the Slingbox TUNER isn't listed as an option here?
The Slingbox TUNER will not control an external set-top box. It has an internal analog tuner that is designed to be connected directly to your basic cable.
