My remote control is grayed out or doesn't work
Finding that your SlingPlayer remote control doesn't work? Or its buttons are grayed out? Try these steps.
First things first ... check the IR Blaster cable: The problem could be as simple as an improperly positioned IR Blaster cable. Make sure the "bulb" portion of the IR Blaster is pointing to the remote control pickup window on your A/V device. Look below for more information on positioning your IR Blaster cable.
Next: try uninstalling/reinstalling the app
Sometimes the remote control portion of the software doesn't register properly after installation. You may be able to solve this by removing the SlingPlayer app from your device, then reinstalling it. Usually you can reinstall SlingPlayer by going to the store where you purchased it and re-downloading it.
If that doesn't work
You may need to reconfigure the Slingbox video source that you've connected your AV device to:
- Go to Watch on Slingbox.com.
- Reconfigure the Slingbox video source that you've connected your AV device to.
